There are times when a Lehigh Valley resident may need assistance with climbing and descending a staircase in their home. Being restricted to one floor may be inconvenient because the bedroom is on the upper floor while the kitchen, bathroom, TV room, laundry, and of course the main entrance, are on the bottom floor. One option may be to set up temporary quarters on a particular floor, but that may be too disruptive or impossible.

This is especially true if the need is only temporary, perhaps due to an accident or illness that requires an expected recovery time. A resident may be under hospice care, after which the stair lift will no longer be needed. Depending upon the need and length of term, there are economical short-term solutions.

Used Stair Lifts

Power Stair Lifts has a large inventory of certified pre-owned lifts that are in good working condition and only gently-used inventory. Stair lifts are available in straight stair lifts for both right and left sides of a staircase. Because of the custom nature of a curved stairlift for both pre-owned lifts and future installation, no pre-owned or used curved lift options are available. All used straight stair lifts have been refurbished with a multi-point inspection to ensure maximum safety and operating efficiency. Power Stair Lift checks all electrical connections, circuit boards, batteries, chassis, drive motors, and all other mechanisms. Power Stair Lifts also stands behind the work and performance of a used lift the same as a new stair lift. Click here for more information.

Rental Stair Lifts

Similar to used lifts, a rental stairlift is an economical option for those who have determined that the lift will not be in service very long. Instead of purchasing the lift, customers only pay an installation fee and removal fee, and receive two (2) free months of unlimited lift use. If the lift continues to be in service after the two-month period, then a small monthly rental fee is charged until the lift is removed. Click here for more information.

Used Stair Lift Buyback Program

Many individuals, family members, and estates, seek to remove and resell a home stair lift that is in good condition and proper working order. If this is the case, call Power Stair Lifts to tell us the manufacturer, model, and year of installation. Also, communicate any other relevant information regarding the condition of the lift and we will schedule a time to assess the lift and make you an offer to buy the stair lift back. Once an agreement is reached we will remove the lift and pay you the agreed-upon fee. Click here for more information.
