Position Summary

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mobility Installation & Service Technician, based in the Lehigh Valley. The Technician will be responsible for installing stairlifts, vertical platform lifts, and ramps, as well as overseeing basic carpentry projects like installing grab bars, handrails, and similar small projects. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting equipment issues, providing field service support, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and customer service. This is a semi-skilled position that involves a combination of carpentry, electronics, and mechanical duties.

Qualifications

  • Must be willing to exhibit a high level of honesty, integrity, and openness, as well as hold others to the same level of character.
  • Capable of installing and servicing home and commercial accessibility features, including handrails and grab bars, as well as occasional light construction for lifts, including framing, cement work, and other carpentry as needed.
  • Ability to assist the lead stair lift technician with installs and repairs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronic and mechanical problems; maintain proper records for maintenance, inventory of parts, and emergency repairs; promote good housekeeping.
  • Willing to pursue equipment training as needed, and to communicate ideas and other problems to the management staff.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and field service
  • Experience managing small parts and other inventory
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Technical aptitude and mechanical skills
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Relevant certifications and experience in mobility solutions are a plus
  • Experience with electronics and basic carpentry
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Focus on customer satisfaction
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further technical training or certifications are beneficial
